Their Arabic bread is amazing and the restaurant at the back of the store makes some of the most delicious authentic middle eastern food.

I found this place through Grubhub (01/06/2023). I really love middle eastern food, so it was a no brainer to try them out. I ended up ordering the lamb sandwich and the vegetarian sampler. The lamb sandwich was just ok, but the sampler.. I loved everything in it. I had baba ganoush for the 1st time, and it's quite honestly amazing! It was my first time with the tabouleh as well. I'd say my least favorite thing in the sampler was the grape leaves. They're just a bit too... bitter maybe? Or sour... In any case, it was all still pretty amazing.

This is mostly a grocery/meat shop - but, do not forget to sneak into their restaurant section! Probably, the best one in town for Arabian foods! They have a bunch of good selections for the kababs, and wraps, but try their seasoned goat meat! You will be blown away by the flavors! Their service is okay, but do not expect them at the level of a restaurant! The ambiance of the restaurant could have been better, but it is a clean place! Again, do not forget to try their seasoned goat meat curry! :)

The is a genuine hole in the wall, and a great one at that! I went for lunch, so it wasn't busy at all. I ordered, served, ate, and paid all writhing 30 minutes and I watched the food get made! The chicken taouk was so tasty, very tender and well seasoned. Sadly, they no longer offer free appetizers, which is something I was looking forward to and didn't know to order before I sat. But it's a great amount of food for a decent price!

Ordered through Doordash, I enjoyed their food. I got the Double Taouk platter & Mixed kebab. I didn't care for the ground beef. I do like the chicken. Good size serving for the price. Their tabbouleh is a little bland but good enough. I recommend this place. You should give it a try.

Favorite middle eastern restaurant in SLC. Great pricing on food and always fresh ingredients. Best to call ahead if you're going for lunch during the work week. I'll definitely be returning when I'm back in SLC.

Still so good! The grocery market opens at 9 am and the restaurant opens at 11 am. Getting the salmon plate and the goat plate today that come with rice and a side salad plus making sure to buy a side of the bread. My mouth is watering just writing this. Is it lunch time yet? Lol

Shahrazad is a very large market, with a variety of Middle Eastern and Eastern European groceries, including spices, varieties of frozen pita, phyllo, and other breads, lots of cheese, yogurt, labne, fun snacks, and so many sweets! I was particularly excited by the impressive selection of packaged halva, but best of all, there are rolls of fresh (I think made in house!!) halva at the register. They are chock full of hazelnuts, not too sweet, flaky, and all around divine! Not sure of the price, but based on the cost of my other purchases, it must be around $5 or $6 lb. They have two small butcher cases: one entirely filled with chicken, the other with a variety of meats, including less common goat, lamb, and veal. I requested a pound of the seasoned kebab meat and received 1.5...lol, but at 7.99 lb it was a good deal. I did not have time to grill it, and instead made little meatballs, served with feta and mint. It was very juicy, with a fine grind to the meat. Speaking of which, the cashier was so friendly and kind, noting my mostly sugary purchases and teasing me about having a sweet tooth (guilty!). There is a restaurant inside, and, at least on my visit, looks like they offer take out only. Around 1:00pm there were still some customers waiting on lunchtime orders, which makes me think it must be pretty yummy.
